Latin Prep Resources exists to prepare you and/or your student for the rigor and difficulty of Henle First Year Latin in an interactive and engaging way. While other resources complement the First Year Latin textbook, Latin Prep Resources are uniquely designed for younger students who want to prepare in advance to succeed. While the lessons are original, the subject matter and vocabulary are directly aligned with the content of the First Year Latin text.
Learn Latin Interactively
The workbook lessons and video tutorials are presented in a creative, engaging and interactive way so that students will enjoy the learning process. The subject matter and vocabulary are directly aligned with the content of the Henle First Year Latin text.
Learn Latin Independently
Many students are able to work through the workbooks independently, except may need help with the first few lessons of each unit. Video tutorials are available for students who want additional guidance and/or to assist them in working through workbooks independently.
Learn Latin Confidently
Each volume of the Latin Prep workbooks will progressively prepare the student to succeed in their First Year Latin class. The Volume I workbook is especially critical to build the student’s confidence and prepare them for the rigor and difficulty of their First Year Latin class.
Learning Latin can be hard. Your first year of Latin class can become discouraging if your child is unprepared. Enter: Latin Prep Resources!
The Volume I workbook focuses on the five Latin noun declensions. Each unit includes several building block lessons, a review lesson, a quiz, and a fun activity which combines everything learned in that unit. The Volume II workbook reviews the content and vocabulary from the Volume I workbook and then builds on these principles to teach Latin adjectives and prepositions. Volume III teaches the four different verb conjugations and includes a unit on the Latin verb, sum. At the end of each workbook are various appendices, including vocabulary charts, master declension charts, verb ending charts, etc.
“This workbook is FANTASTIC! It goes right along with our memory work for Classical Conversations. I’m so glad I ordered it for my son and feel like it will prepare him well for Challenge A next year.”
